Emily Brontë sets up the novel with a visitor Mr. Lockwood looking for residency at Wuthering Heights. When he gets there we are introduced to Mr. Heathcliff, the owner of Wuthering Heights, Joseph the grounds keeper, and Mrs. Heathcliff, the daughter-in-law of Mr. Heathcliff. These characters are introduced first because they live at Wuthering Heights and i think they've lived there for a long time. The point of view is from Mr. Lockwood and what his first impressions of the characters are. Mr. Heathcliff seems like an angry man.
At first the book is confusing and it's hard to find out the relationships between the characters. But the plot quickly gets interesting and pulls the reader in. One part really scared me. But it's intriguing. I'm interested to learn about Catherine and why she has so many last names written on the window sill. The book is getting better so I'm excited to read more.

Wuthering heights is a very interesting story, I researed on it just to make sure I'm on the right track.
Its fun but the languge is difficult yet that is what's lovely about the book.
But since I'm only in 9th grade I took a while to understand the book. When I reached page 60 I understood that Nelly is the one telling the story.
I love the book and cannot wait to finish!
